More than 70,000 spectators filled Ireland's largest stadium Saturday to cheer mentally disabled athletes participating in the Special Olympics Summer World Games.
"This is the most extraordinary thing I've ever seen. To see so many people come out to support people with disability is truly God's work," said actress Ashley Judd, who accompanied the Hong Kong team -- the last to arrive in Ireland on Friday because of a precautionary quarantine against the SARS virus.

Dario Franchitti will miss the remainder of the Indy Racing League season due to upcoming back surgery. Franchitti fractured his back in a motorcycle accident in April in his homeland, causing him to miss the Indy Japan 300, Indianapolis 500 and last week's race at Texas Motor Speedway. Dario returned to last Sunday's race at Pikes Peak and finished fourth, his best showing in three starts in his first IRL season with Andretti Green Racing.
"I'm really disappointed that I will not be able to compete for the remainder of the IRL season," he said. "After assessing the options available, I feel that to do the surgery now is the best thing for me." A surgery date has not been scheduled, but Franchitti plans to return in time for next season.
Franchitti decided to undergo surgery after continued discussions with orthopedic surgeon Terry Trammell, known for work with auto racing injuries. "I feel awful for Dario right now," said team owner Michael Andretti. "I know this is one of the hardest decisions he has ever had to make and I know he is making the right choice."
The team have not announced who will replace Franchitti for the final 10 races of the 16-event schedule.

Ashley Judd said she's having a ball singing and co-starring with Kline for the film "Just One of Those Things. The story follows composer Cole Porter through his life and his marriage to Linda Lee Porter, played by Judd.
But how did producer-director Irwin Winkler know Judd could sing? Winkler giggled a bit when asked. He hadn't heard her sing, but figured it was in the genes. After all, mom is singer Naomi Judd and sister is country queen, Wynonna Judd. Ashley said she didn't even know she'd have to sing in the film until she arrived in England.

With a bucketful of laquer in his hair, Robbie Williams looks
absolutely spiffing in his new film role and Ashley is just so pretty with those flowers in her hair. Robbie joined actress Ashley Judd to shoot his part in "Just One of Those Things". Robbie landed the part as a wedding singer -- and sings the title track -- after impressing bosses with his performances on "Swing When You're Winning." The scene was the wedding of Cole Porter and Linda Lee, with Robbie as the crooner singing 'It's De-Lovely' ('De-Lovely' was actually
written about 10 years after their marriage). The sequence is actually quite short but close ups were done Tuesday (6/09). Other singers in the film include Natalie Cole, Sheryl Crow and Alanis Morissette. Just One Of Those Things is currently filming at the 40-acre Luton Hoo estate in Bedfordshire, which is standing in for the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel in New York and the Ritz in Paris.

Ten weeks out of a race car was long enough for Dario Franchitti (Ashley's husband of course!). The Indy Racing League driver who was injured when he crashed his motorcycle in Scotland will return to the car of his Dallara/Honda Indy car this weekend at Pike's Peak International Raceway.
The 30-year-old Scot was unable to race in the last three IRL races after sustaining an injury to his back in April and has spent the last 2 1/2 months undergoing rehabilitation. Saturday morning's practice will mark the first time Franchitti has been in a race car since the Phoenix race on March 23.
HEY! DID YOU KNOW..... Naomi Judd has her own skin care line? Well, now you do. Judd said, "I am looking forward to getting Esteem into the hands of women everywhere. Coming up with a line of products that helps women transform their physical and spiritual beauty has been a very personal mission for me. I tell people I meet all the time that 'Self Esteem comes from within' and these products remind women to look into the mirror of truth to discover they're unique and worthy."
