NEW ON DVD:
"Bug," is informed by the destructive forces arising out of desperation. Ashley Judd gives an exquisitely calibrated performance as Agnes, a marginalized cocktail waitress whose emotional pain leaves her vulnerable to men, liquor and drugs...
Concerned that both she and her room have been infested, he has a plan to beat the contamination. The pair become locked into an all-consuming alliance that makes Agnes feel meaningful. "Bug," crawls into places that are disquieting but it works its way under your skin.

When Ashley Judd was first approached by a licensing company about creating her own clothing line, the actress wasn’t interested. Despite being repeatedly told she had a future in such a venture, Judd said she doubted there would be a company willing to work with her because “I’m idealistic and my values are so inflexible.”

Ashley Judd Partners With Goody's Stores To Launch Affordable Clothing Line

Ashley Judd is the daughter and sister of country music legends. Some would say she grew up with a sliver spoon.

But the actress, who stars in the upcoming movie "Crossing Over," says she was born with the divine gift of empathy, which makes her not take her privileges for granted and want to give back to the community.

"I think that empathy is a gift from God," she told The ShowBuzz. "Somehow or another, by the grace of God, I got the intolerance-and-exquisite-sensitivity-to-poverty gene. I like that about myself ... I got a little distracted there by Hollywood for a while, felt very satisfied by what I had accomplished and then an organization called Population Services International approached me the same week that Bono approached me and said we'd like for you to be a part of empowering poor people."

IRL Championship winner Dario will be on The Late Late Show w/ Craig Ferguson tonight!

Come Early Morning - This is the kind of movie that gets past you, a small budget movie that didn’t get wide release or big studio backing, one you might have noticed briefly in the papers or trailers upon its initial release and then forgotten about 10 minutes later. Thank God for Netflix. This movie, despite a fairly standard storyline, is filled with small wonders, not least of which is Ashley Judd’s best performance since the somewhat similar — and likewise small budgeted — “Ruby In Paradise...” full story

The actress who got her big screen break with Victor Nunez's Ruby in Paradise has, of late, found firmer footing away from Hollywood and back in the land of independents.

She did the alcoholic haze romance Come Early Morning, the paranoids-in-the-apartment thriller Bug, most recently. She wasn't bad in either of them, though she wasn't interesting enough by herself to warrant picking up the DVD or in the case of Bug, which actually won a theatrical release, go to a theater. Worth checking out, though, if you're a fan.

DeLovely didn't do much. It's been about five years since she had a major Hollywood effort with commercial prospects. Did Ya Ya Sisterhood mark a breaking point for her and the big studios?

Maybe not. She's in the ensemble of Wayne Kramer's all-star drama Crossing Over. Still, her studio stardom days appear to be in the past. And she isn't even 40, yet, though married life with a glamorous race car driver and her time rooting for the UK Wildcats seem to be where she makes most of her headlines these days.

Her next will be Helen, a film scripted and to be directed by the woman whose delightful Mostly Martha was filleted, gutted and burnt to a crisp by Catherine Zeta-Jones and Hollywood. Sandra Nettelbeck is the writer-director's name.

Ashley has signed on to topline drama 'Helen' for Egoli Tossell Film and Insight Film Studios. The script by Sandra Nettelbeck ("Mostly Martha"), who will also direct, centers on a music professor and mother who suffers from a deep, debilitating depression. Her family tries to help her, but no one can relate to her pain other than a young female student who knows depression all too well.

Shooting is scheduled to begin Octover 2 in Vancouver.

Judd, who most recently appeared in the Lionsgate thriller "Bug," will next be seen in the Weinstein Co. ensemble drama "Crossing Over," set for release in December.
