Fashion lines are about more than just clothes these days -- they're about star power!
Actress Ashley Judd is the latest in a slew of stylish stars to stamp her name on a fashion brand. Her new line of moderately priced women's clothing, to be sold at the Knoxville-based retailer Goody's, debuts this fall.
"I'm thrilled to be involved in a clothing line that provides simple, lovely solutions for women's wardrobes," said Ashley, who also happens to be the face of international jeweler H.STERN. "I've always loved items that you can throw on easily and know that you'll feel and look good."
The actress' three new labels -- AJ, ASHLEY JUDD and LOVE, ASHLEY -- will include everything from denim to knits to casual career outfits, each inspired by her personal style. Jeans will be detailed with signature back-pocket stitching, as well as floral designs on the inside waistband... Ashley Judd Catches the Fashion Bug

Ashley Judd, for one, is a fan of Iowa Speedway.
“It’s such a soap opera, there’s so much drama!” she shouted over the cars to a friend. And shouted, “It’s so exciting, I just can’t take it,” she screamed and stomped later in the race.
Judd would know. As wife of Sunday’s Iowa Corn Indy 250 winner, Dario Franchitti, she has seen plenty of races.
For obvious reasons, she also knows a thing or two about drama. The actress twice has been nominated for a Golden Globe and has a screen presence like few others... No passing is track’s only blemish

"You might not want to go there . . ." warned Ashley Judd's agent. That offhanded comment immediately intrigued the slim, brunette actress.
Her rep was referring to a proposed screen adaptation of Tracy Letts' award-winning off-Broadway psychological thriller Bug. Upping the ante, almost the entire screenplay unfolds in an age-weary motel room. At the director's helm was William Friedkin of The Exorcist fame.
"I don't think she was intentionally using reverse psychology, but that's the effect it had. I think I became willing to take the part on before I had, in fact, read the script. Plus, there is a part of me that gets really competitive with my own creativity. Like, 'Oh! You think I can't do it? Really? Then, OK . . .'" Getting Bugged With Ashley Judd
