India.Arie is hoping viewers will be moved to action tonight after watching VH1's documentary "Tracking the Monster," in which she and actress Ashley Judd visit separate African countries grappling with the plight of AIDS.

"It's what the power of this piece is because I intellectually heard the numbers and knew that Africa was being devastated, but when you see it, you only need to see a portion of it and then multiply it in your mind," the singer said last week after a private screening of the film. "Seeing it just made it much more real."

Nothing major, but it will now open in a new window and have its own 'cool' layout. I also updated the wallpapers layout and the guestbook.

Every 15 seconds, a young person between the ages of 15-24 becomes infected with HIV/AIDS. Fifty percent of all new infections occur among this age group, and most do not know they carry this deadly virus. The simple act of buying a $5 empowerment tag helps educate and prevent a young person from HIV/AIDS for six months.

The "Empowerment Tags" are engraved with "Hear", "See", or "Speak" on one tag, and the AIDS ribbon on the other.

NEW YORK Aldo's fall ad campaign will take on more than the competition. The global footwear and accessories retailer has partnered with YouthAIDS, an HIV/AIDS education and prevention initiative, in "Aldo Fights AIDS".

The "Hear no evil? See no evil? Speak no evil?" campaign, via KraftWorks, New York, and shot by fashion photographer Peter Lindbergh, features a roster of A-list celebs. The stars are photographed in black and white with duct tape across their mouth or eyes or with their hands covering their ears.

Celebrities featured in the campaign include Salma Hayek, Ashley Judd, Penelope Cruz, Elijah Wood, Cindy Crawford, Josh Lucas, Christina Aguilera and LL Cool J.

Each celebrity is pictured wearing a pair of "empowerment [dog] tags," one engraved with an AIDS ribbon and one stamped with a call to action message of "Hear," "See" or "Speak." The tags will be sold for $5 at Aldo stores worldwide and on the Web at www.youthaids-aldo.org, with 100 percent of the net proceeds benefiting YouthAIDS.

Joey Lauren Adams working to complete directorial debut
Actress Joey Lauren Adams is working to complete Come Early Morning, the film that marks her directorial debut.

Up until now, Adams has been known mainly for roles in films like Dazed and Confused and Chasing Amy.

However, for the last five years she has been trying to complete her labour of love, which she wrote and directed. It was shot in her hometown of North Little Rock, Ark.

"I really feel like it's a Southern film without being a caricature," she told the Associated Press.

The film stars Ashley Judd and Diane Ladd. Adams's goal is to have it in the can by October, the deadline for submissions to next year's Sundance Film Festival.

She has tentative plans to hold a premiere in Little Rock.
