De-Lovely Premiere The love affairs! The glittering parties! The palazzo in Venice! Why can't one's life be more like a Cole Porter song, you no doubt wonder... read more?

As stated yesterday, Ashley has been chosen as brand ambassador for American Beauty, the new skin care line by Estee Lauder which will be launched in October of this year.

"Ashley Judd embodies all of the qualities that define our new brandAmerican Beauty and we're thrilled to be working with her," stated WilliamLauder, Chief Operating Officer of The Estee Lauder Companies. "Ms. Judd isglamorous, elegant, intelligent while being warm and accessible and we'reconfident that women will connect with her."

VH1 won it's first POP award last night during Cable Positive's third annual POP awards. The network won in the category of "Outstanding News Coverage" for its AIDS/HIV cause-related special "VH1 News Presents: AIDS: A Pop Culture History." On newstands now, Ashley is on the cover of the July issue of Harper's Bazaar. According to The New York Post, the movie 'De Lovely', has led Bloomingdale's to bring out a clothing line inspired by Ashley's portrayal of Linda Lee Porter. Ashley has has also been chosen as the brand ambassador for American Beauty, the new skin care line by Estee Lauder which will be launched later this year.

The release of De-Lovely is quickly approaching. The De-Lovely soundtrack is available as of yesterday (June 15). It is full of some of Porter's greatest songs performed by Robbie Williams, Sheryl Crow, Elvis Costello, Vivian Green, Diana Krall, Alanis Morissette, Kevin Kline and Ashley! That's right, Ashley is featured in a duet on the songs True Love and In the Still Of The Night.

It looks like the scene definetly is heating up this summer for Ashley. Among her many upcoming media appearances, she'll be the cover girl for the July issue of Harper's Bazaar, chatting about fashion and the elegant Giorgio Armani clothes she wears in her new movie, De-Lovely.

Ashley's husband, Dario Franchitti won pole position for Saturday night's Indy 500km race. This is his first to claim his first Indy Racing League (IRL) pole.

It will be the best start of the season for Franchitti, whose previous best qualifying effort was third at the Indianapolis 500 two weeks ago. Franchitti started on the outside of the front row and finished 14th.

A benefit in a Kiehl's beauty products store attracts an interesting mix. You have your young, glam Georgetown types, your lobbyists, your occasional senator ( John Breaux of Louisiana) and ambassador ( Luis Alberto Moreno of Colombia) and, of course, your movie star -- in this case, Ashley Judd, who plays Cole Porter's ever-devoted, beautiful wife in the new biopic "De-Lovely," which screened here Monday night. Judd came to promote not just her movie but the YouthAIDS educational initiative, for which she is global ambassador.

"I got involved two years ago when I got a call from Bono," she told us, name-dropping U2's frequent emissary to Africa. She'll be raising awareness of the issue in Cambodia and Thailand for two weeks this summer, she said.

By the way, the guy in pic with Ashley is tv reality star Bill Rancic from the Apprentice.

If you havent heard about it yet, the Judds are featured in their very own E! True Hollywood story. It premiered on Sunday, I havent seen it yet, but I am looking forward to seeing what they have put together. I have even heard promotions for the show on the radio! I am just sure this will peak the curiosity of watcher's into finding out more about the Judds. Maybe?

New layout today. Isnt it wonderful? The layout was designed by the ever-creative Sheena. Actually, she will be supplying all of the ashley-judd.com layouts this summer. Each layout she does here is more awesome than the last, so I can't wait to see what is up next.

In case you missed out on some things this weekend due to the lack of site updates (hey, I was celebrating the holiday). Here is what you may have missed:

Wow! I hope that everyone had a great long weekend. I know I have a lot of catching up to do, but 3 day weekends just dont come around often enough. If you were keeping tabs on the schedule, I am sure you didnt miss anything... if you did miss it, it will be on again.
