I am sure that most of you already know this (I am behind 'cause have been celebrating the B-day) but the official De-Lovely movie website is now up. You can find a lot of great pictures, e-cards, movie, and biographical information on the site. Check it out!!!
And.... just so that we all get caught up. Here is some even older news:
On March 12, under the dome of the State Capitol in Kentucky, Naomi Judd, and daughters Wynonna and Ashley Judd where honored by Gov. Ernie Fletcher with one of 10 Governor's Awards in the Arts.
"It's very special," Polly Rideout (Grandmother) said after the ceremony. "We've been to the Academy of Country Music Awards, we've been to the Grammys, but this is so different. This is so meaningful and close and personal.
"To come here to this beautiful rotunda and receive one of the highest awards, in my estimation -- the recognition of Kentucky and what it stands for -- is very touching and warm. How grateful can you be."
The three Judd women received the National Award for Kentucky artists who have had an impact outside of the Bluegrass. Naomi and Wynonna first grabbed the spotlight in the 1980s as the country duo The Judds, followed by Ashley, a screen and stage actress.
The Kentucky Arts Council administers the selection process of the annual awards and the Governor has final approval of the recipients.

A few new additions to the gallery today. 10 pictures from the upcoming film De-Lovely (thanks bj for the heads up). "De-lovely" is an original musical portrait of American composer Cole Porter filled with his unforgettable songs. In the film, Porter is looking back on his life as if it was one of his spectacular stage shows, with the people and events of his life becoming the actors and action onstage. Through legendary hits like “Night and Day,” “It’s De-lovely,” and “In the Still of the Night,” Porter’s elegant, excessive past comes to light – including his deeply complicated relationship with his wife and muse, Linda Lee Porter.
Directed by Academy Award®-winner Irwin Winkler from a script by Jay Cocks and starring Oscar®-winner Kevin Kline, Ashley Judd, and Jonathan Pryce in addition to some of today’s biggest rock and pop music stars, "De-lovely" is a celebration of Porter’s music as well as an exploration of the artist’s journey and the undying power of love.
The film will debut at the Cannes Film Festival on May 22.
